A short doublet sewn in accordance with the XV century fashion. Made out of wool or silk brocades, with a characteristic V-neck revealing a shirt.

The doublet was made according to the fashion of the second half of the 15th century. It has a tight fit, thanks to which it is properly modeled and tightly adheres to the body. The doublet’s front is arranged in a characteristic V, revealing the whiteness of the shirt underneath, which is why it is tied with three strings instead of five. The sleeves are tight with a delicate cut at the wrist and fastened with handmade material buttons.

In the Middle Ages, it was usually made of woolen cloth or silk brocades and various fabrics lining.

  • Like most doublets, it has holes for attaching the hose- all of them are trimmed by hand.
  • Machine stitches are not visible in any visible place.
  • Doublet available in standard sizes, as well as tailor made.
  • Offered wool colors are in the footer of the page. Please specify it at the end of the order.

Like all our clothing it can be hand or machine stiched. However, we always follow the principle to finish visible elements manually.

The proprietary name we use is only our trade name. Similar doublets were worn in many regions of Europe, although we often find them in paintings from the mentioned region.
