Gothic Doublet – Woollen

Gothic Doublet fashionable in the 15th century, perfectly modeled, thanks to which it adheres to the body. The gothic doublet  is padded with sheep fleece on the chest to emphasize the male figure – it was a popular procedure at that time. It has a high, additionally stiffened collar in the Gothic style V. Pleated sleeves are buttoned at the end with two buttons.

• Historically the most popular combination of materials was wool with a linen lining.
• Like most doublets, it has holes for attaching the hose – all of them trimmed by hand.
• Clothing available in standard sizes, as well as tailor made.
• Offered wool colors are in the footer of the page. Please specify it at the end of the order.Like all our clothing the gothic doublet be hand or machine stiched. However, we always follow the principle to finish visible elements manually.

  The proprietary name we use is only our trade name because such doublets were worn in many regions of Europe.
