An element of the outfit that is the basis of the historical attire. It was usually made of woolen cloth and linen lining.

The doublet was made according to the fashion prevailing in the mid-15th century. It has a shaped tight fit. The doublet is padded with sheep fleece on the chest to emphasize the male figure – it was a popular procedure at that time. The basques in the doublet have been shortened compared to the earlier versions of this outfit. The doublet has tight sleeves cut to the elbow and fastened with hand-made material buttons, while the buffs are formed with rolled fabric rollers. It has a low collar, cut at the back in gothic “V”.

In the Middle Ages, it was usually made of woolen cloth with a linen lining. This element of the outfit was the basis of the attire in the Middle Ages, but also a little later.
