In Middle Ages it was usually made of high quality woollen fabric and linen lining. The doublet is suitable rather for a dandy than an average burgher because of a large cut in the front that exposes the shirt in a fancy way.

Beautifully cut slim fit doublet made in late 15th century fashion. Characteristic cut comes from region of present-day Burgundy.

  • Basques are very short, sleeves close-fitting, tied with three strings with many slits.
  • It has hand-stitched holes that enable tying the doublet to the hose.
  • Standard version has linen lining and five pairs of hand-sitched holes to tie it up. Available colours are in the page footer. Please choose the colour at the end of your ordering process.

Similarly to all other clothes from our offer it can be machine or hand-stitched. Machine stitches are not visible as regardless of chosen stitching all the visible elements are always hand-stitched.
