It is a tight fitting garment that adheres perfectly to the body – it has a double armpit cut. The doublet is padded with sheep fleece on the chest to emphasize the male figure – it was a popular procedure at that time. Basques are quite long, according to fashion from the late fourteenth century. The collar is made of decorative silk brocade carved into the characteristic Gothic “V”. The Knight’s Dublet sleeves are tight and have a small cut at the wrist fastened with hand-made material buttons.

In the Middle Ages it was usually made of woolen cloth and linen lining. This element of dress was the basis of clothing in the Middle Ages and until the seventeenth century.
