Early Gambeson – Economical – Hakon

The Gembeson is the basic protective clothing worn by the early European warriors. This model is characterized by short sleeves, so you can put the vambrace on, it has five leather bindings and overlapping front panels. The high collar provides adequate neck protection.

The gambesons were made based on iconography and practical combat experience. Thanks to this, it ensures optimal freedom of movement in relation to protective functions, especially thanks to the characteristic cut of this model. The filling layers are unevenly distributed – they take into account the trade-off between flexibility and protection.

• In the economic version, sewn from linen and cotton filling.

Like all our clothing it can be hand or machine stiched. However, we always follow the principle to finish visible elements manually.
