Klappenvisier was a helmet used since half of 14th century to mid 15th century. It has a skull with the visor. Visor is usually attached by a brow-mounted pivot. It is a bit convex, rounded at the end, but it protects very well the face of knight. The ventlais can be on one or both their sides. The helmet was usually used by knights on horseback.

This helmet has a little rounded bowl with holes, which can be used for sewing to padded hood and the sleeves to add the aventail. The visor attached by a brow-mounted pivot has the ventails on its both sides. The sights are conves, little bowing with holes in theirs lower part, which give an additional view. The klappenvisier is the best choice for the knight from ends of 14th or beginnig of 15th century.
