Arming doublet made in very close-fitting style. This is a reconstruction of a 15th-century arming doublet worn by higher classes.
This essential garment was created specifically for wear under plate armor – that’s why the body and sleeves are filled only with a thin additional layer of linen.
It provides high mobility thanks to the specially cut sleeves.
The doublet is fastened with five strings and features holes for attaching armor elements to the shoulders and sleeves.
We can customize it to your preferences upon request.
Like most doublets, it has holes for attaching hose – all are hand-hemmed.
The under-armor doublet is available in standard sizes and can also be made to measure.
It is available in different colours, not only red.
Please specify them at the end of your order.
The arming doublet is made of three layers:
Outer layer – linen
Additional reinforcement – ​​linen
Lining – linen
Like all our garments, the arming doublet can be made entirely by hand or by machine.
However, we always adhere to the principle of hand-finishing visible elements.
