Deep kettle hat, based on a model found in Poland. Made of 2mm thick hardened steel.Product made by one of the best Polish armourers. The complex and scrupulous process of production takes time. However it has a direct result in high quality. It takes about six months for our armourer to fulfil an order.

Kettle hat became very popular in Europe since end of XII century. It’s shape was defferent during centuries. The brimmed could be flat or diagonal, wider or narrower. But still it had to protect head and arms of warrior.

The kettle hat was also used by light cavalry because of its advantages. It gave them possibility to using range weapon and good protection againts the hits. The helmet was still in using up to XVII century.

Available in our store helmet is an excellent copy of kettle hat from Białystok’s musuem. It is dated at the end of XIV or beginning of XV century. It has shaping bowl with small spike on the top. The brimmed is very diagonal, longer at the one side.

Based on museum piece the kettle hat is full historical, so this helmet can be the best part of medieval armour.
