The first winters on the Eastern Front showed that cloth coats did not provide enough comfort.

Therefore, it was decided to provide warmer jackets for soldiers.

So the new parkas were designed for the harsh cold of a Russian winter. WW2 winter jackets of this type were issued during the Kharkov offensive, hence its common name Charkov parka.

Our Charkov parka is sewn from green-gray cotton fabric and lined with fur.

It is possible to use either natural or artificial fur.

Jackets of this type came in three versions, the first model was worn over the head.

Until the final version, which was buttoned at full length for convenience.

These jackets came in green-gray colors, and the last versions were also sewn in Italian camouflage fabric.

All ww2 winter jackets came with a sizable hood, so that it could be worn over a military helmet.
