Kirtle made up of four linen panels with the skirt flaring down from the hips, and laced at the front from the neckline to hip. The neck cut is fairly low. The front is tied with one long handmade woolen string. Designed to be worn over a shift it can have short or long sleeves. The long sleeved version is fastened with buttons.
