Bell Tent – cotton

Bell tent is historical tent in the shape of an elevated cone, so it reminds bell shape. It has 4m in diameter and 3.5m high, including 0.5m wall height. Its big advantage is the small amount of space it occupies during transport and the simplicity of seting it up. The bell tent modeled on iconographic depictions and artifacts that have survived to this day. British army used this kind of tent during WW2 in Europe and Africa.

The mast is made of good quality hardwood is divided into two for convenience in transport. The bottom can be raised and tied, which is useful on hot days. Cones of this shape were still used in the twentieth century by the British army.

In the standard option, the bell tent is made from natural coloured technical cotton of 300gr/m2 denisty. This fabric, however, will not withstand prolonged rain, recommended for countries with a warm climate. We suggest to order impregnated fabric which has been tested and impregnated by the manufacturer, not by a subcontractor or by hand which will guarantee that the tent is rot resistant and waterproof. We also provide and option to use a colored and impregnated fabric for the bell tent, in the footer of the shop website you will find a link to the card of available colors.
