Basel Type Tent – 4m diameter

Historical tent with construction based on single central main pole.

The roof is tightened with the ropes combined with iron hooks. This tent is based on original one that you can see in Swiss muzeum in Basel. Though this one is dated as 16th century, the model was used eariler in Middle Ages according to iconography. Especially common amongst knights and travelling soldiers.

The hight of the tent is 3,7m. Main mast has been devided into two pieces for easy transportation. The longest element is 2,1m long. The diamater of the tent is 4m at the ground level.

Standard version is made of thick linen fabric with a denisty of 540g/m2. Good quality linen fabric will not soak through even during prolonged rain. There is also an option of impregnated linen which is hydrophobic and rot restistant. Wooden mast is made out of wood from deciduous trees, like ash, beech or birch.
