The roof is tighten by using ropes with iron hooks. This tent is based on an original one that is in Swiss muzeum in Basel. Though this one is dated 16th century, such tents was used eariler in Middle Ages according to iconography. Especially common amongst knights and travelling soldiers.

The Basel tent is 5m tall,  The diamater of the tent is 4m at the ground level. The main mast is devided into two parts for the ease of transport making the longest element 2.1m long.

Standard version is made of thick linen fabric of denisty: 540g/m2. Good quality linen fabric will not soak through even after long rain. There is also an option of impregnated linen which is hydrophobic and rot-resistant. Wooden frame is made of hardwood like ash, birch etc.

Per request we also can custom paint  our medieval tents.
